Fans watching the Super Bowl are stocking up on more than just pizza and beer.
A Nielsen Company survey took a look at the top foods served at parties on Super Bowl night for the past three years.
What they found may come as a surprise -- vegetables topped the list.
People said they served up more snacks, sandwiches and salads than pizza.
In fact, more people drank milk and soda the night of the big game than beer.

Veggie tray and a low-calorie dip. Grilled chicken on whole wheat bun with dab of mustard, lettuce, tomato.

Oh, for heaven’s sake-—I don’t believe this survey for a second. Once again, people are telling pollsters what they think the pollster wants them to say.
The last couple of years we’ve attended a Super Bowl party where everyone brings a crockpot of their favorite soup or chili.

I’d like to go to the local Hooters for a plate of Buffalo Wings with Three Mile Island sauce, but it will be past my bedtime.

Read it several times and my comment stands. ;-) Pizza and beer, traditional Super Bowl fare in my house. Both veggies of a sort.
In fact, more people drank milk and soda the night of the big game than beer. Woosification of America is upon us.

My nephew is making a couple "Bacon Explosions" for the game. You weave a mat out of bacon strips, fill it with pork sausage and cover that with bacon bits and BBQ sauce. Roll it up and bake. Cut slices with an electric knife.
Man food instead of wimpy veggies.
