A Louisiana high school student says he was sent home for wearing an Indianapolis Colts jersey Friday - the day the principal encouraged students to wear New Orleans Saints black and gold as the teams get ready to face off in the Super Bowl.
"If they tell other students to support their team, why can't I support mine?" Brandon Frost, 17, told The Associated Press. The senior at Maurepas High School moved three years ago from Indianapolis to the rural town 30 miles from Baton Rouge.
A Livingston Parish School Board member said Frost wasn't sent home, but was told he couldn't wear the blue jersey at school. Keith Martin, whose district includes Maurepas, said the school uniform had been relaxed only for black and gold.

Then again, it merely confirms the Tulane chant of:
“LSU,
LSU,
LSU,...CKS”
Normally, if there is a team from the South, I always pick them. This year, I picked the Colts due to the Kenyan's "Kiss Of Death". LOL

What an idiot. Manners? You think the kid lacked manners because he preferred the Colts over the Saints and actually thought he had the first amendment rights to express that preference? If the Saints fans in your area are that sensitive perhaps you should all take a course in how to behave as adults, including the principal of that school.
How about a little common sense...who would let their kid go to school in a colts jersey in the heart of cajun country. Rights my a$$....any fool would know that it would cause the kid grief. The parents are the ones who needs their heads examined!
Jemian,
The South lost...the Yankees kicked your ass...the farmers from New England proved to be tougher than you southern boys
just plain courtesy
Oh come on! No bigger rivals than OU/Texas, but we each wear our colors proudly when on each other’s turf. What you are saying is the kid should have acted like he was afraid of who he was. Give him credit, it took guts to be loyal to his team. The school administration acted really dumb.
I’m a Saints fan but get real. The school showed bad judgement about the colts jersey and since when do we refer to a 17 yr old kid as Mister?
No kidding, reminds me of the Seinfeld episode “You MUST wear the Jersey!”....
Can’t think of that episode. All I can think of is the painting the chests for the hockey game.
You are so full of excrement.
In your world, choice apparently doesn’t extend to decision of which team is supported in a sporting event. You claim it is rude for young Mr. Frost to have expressed his support for the opposing team while on the New Orleans Saints’ plantation.
How utterly idiotic.
..can’t think of that incident....

Kramer signed up for an AIDS walk and adamantly refused to wear the ribbon. Ended up getting his butt kicked...
Louisiana school administrators aren't color blindWho dat about to get fired? A Louisiana high school principal, dat's who.
In case you haven't heard, the Saints are playing in Sunday's Super Bowl. To celebrate, Maurepas High School in Livingston Parish told students that for one day only they could trade-in their boring a*s school uniforms for Saints t-shirts and jerseys. A glorious concession to winning-starved Saints fans.
Most students dressed accordingly, even 17-year-old Brandon Frost. The problem: Frost grew up in Indianapolis, and he chose to wear a Colts jersey. Sounds harmless enough. Unfortunately, he never got to experience a full day of name-calling and ridicule from his fellow Saints fans.
"Frost didn't even have time to sit down in his first-period English class before the principal of his Livingston Parish school yanked him out of class and told him he was being sent home for the day because of his choice in attire."
Now that's cold, and incredibly stupid. Frost was simply doing what the rest of the kids at school were allowed to do -- show their team spirit.
Predictably the ACLU is now involved in this muckety muck, and heads will most definitely roll. When the Saints inevitably lose (and this kind of karma can't be helping), they'll have a pin-headed high school administrator to thank.
Don’t worry people. All you folks siding with the kid are in full agreement with the ACLU.
Even a stopped clock....
This is beyond stupid. The kid wore a jersey on a day jerseys were encouraged. He just happened to wear a different jersey. This principal is clearly a pinhead.
Now that I recall. LOL. Great episode. He had been partying the night before.
The Jersey had me scratching my head.
Great show.

Yes...but there is a very fine line between rights, ignorance and common sense.
Yes, the lad had the RIGHT to wear the Colts Jersey, but showed IGNORANCE by doing so and also showed he lacked COMMON SENSE.
And if he was ‘different’ from his peers in any other way, it could have proven to be the catalyst for a good stomping...
Sorry, when I wrote the comment, I was still referring to your comment earlier about the Seinfeld episode. LOL. I should have made the comment clearer.
