I’m going with the Colts. I love those Manning boys. :)

For an "old" Saints fan, this game is the best possible scenario. Either the Saints win, or Archie Manning's son does. :-)

1. PPP is a liberal polling company. 2. What are they smoking?

I'm a craddle-born conservative who deplores the deep-seated corruption that has existed in Louisiana for at least a century and I am pulling for the Saints. How on earth can any reasonable person be so narrow minded that they equate a football team with politics? Politicians certainly did not win the NFC Championship. I don't pretend to know anything about the political leanings of Colts fans. However, any other year Louisianians would probably be cheering for the Colts since the Manning family is much loved and admired in this part of the country. After a 43 year dry spell Saints fans, conservative and liberal, are deliously happy that they finally have a chance to play in the Super Bowl. It was great coaching of really good players that put them in Miami this week. Politics had nothing to do with it.

GEAUX SAINTS!!!

I have told this tale many times...

I have been to numerous games in which the Colts were playing including games at the old RCA dome and the 2006 Super Bowl. I will tell you, the Colts’ fans are among the classiest in the league.

I am a Packers fan, but was with a Chicago contingent at the Super Bowl. The difference was incredible. That is all I will say.

And, back in ‘97 or ‘98, I went to Indy to watch the Packers lose 42-41 or something like that and I had my wife and young twin boys with me - all decked out in Packers colors. We were treated as guests by everyone around - and my little guys were like rock stars. We had a grand time.

If only it could be like that at all venues.

So given the large margin of Dems for the Saints, guess that makes them more partisan, right? I wonder why this wasn’t called-out in the article?

Because of the racial element that lurks just below the surface of the statistics.

Pretty much how I feel and I can’t stand the Colts. I hope they crush the saints.

Family and some friends left today for Miami.

I would rather be in NOLA for the big celebration.

Don’t fly to NOLA till Wed., for Mardi Gras so hopefully with a win, the City will still be buzzing.

an aside....my ma had a brain aneurysm rupture in Indy. She was life flighted to Methodist hospital there. Though she wound up passing away four months later I will tell you that the people of Indianapolis were the kindest and most loving people and the staff at NeuroICU was the most competent and kindest staff that I’ve ever seen.
I’m a Saints fan (I’m on the coast) but I have a real soft spot for all of you up there!

The Memorials downtown are really awesome...I agree. And the huge fountain that sits in the center of the huge circle, in the ctr of the city is so beautiful it rivals any European city. The business strutures surrounding the circle are curved to fit the circular brick road...I LOVE IT! At Christmas it is spectacular! I love it. I really do. And I love this city...it is ALIVE at night because folks actually live downtown.

But enough...the Colts are a good team not only on the field, but off the field. And I am just weird enough to like that in any ball team.

I sorta always like for the team that has never won a superbowl or hasn't in a long time, to win but when my hometeam plays-I am 100% behind um.

I also love the Bengals and the Broncos. Was born in Cincy and grew up in Ohio and lived in Denver ten years. John Elway was flying high when we lived in Denver and wow! He was also amazing back in the day. And the Bengals came on this year! I was hoping they would go all the way

I think the people of New Orleans should be celebrating the generosity this nation has showed them, as well as this sporting event.

Yes this Manning should not even be in the Super bowl, Had it not been for gifts from corrupt officials on the field the colts would not be in this game.

At least 5 games were given to the Colts by insane bad calls on the field!

Payton’s day is over Sunday!

"I guarantee Vikes vs Colts would have gotten better ratings."

Really?

Excluding Super Bowls, the 57.9 million viewers for the Vikings & Saints NFC Championship game makes it television’s most-watched program since the 1998 "Seinfeld" series finale with 76.3 million viewers.

That makes it the largest audience for a conference championship game since the Cowboys-49ers game in 1982 with 68.7 million viewers.

Win or lose, the locals have been celebrating since the last win for the Saints. This is the first real worthwile thing for the people of New Orleans to celebrate in a long time. Let’s just savor the moment!

I've gotta say, the videos of the "Buddy D" parade had me in stitches. Truly an inside, locals-only bit of humor there.

Former quarterback Bobby Hebert!

That post gave me a chill...I am so glad you have those memories tucked away. There is something about people in Indiana, I’ve noticed it as well. I was kinda of shocked at the sophistication, it is broader than that of Ohio. At least in my experience.

And I think those ratings were because of Favre.
