I know that it takes an xfinity to get comcast out to my house for service.
“Comcast..we’ll try not to treat you like a criminal and throttle your bittorrent downloads”.
Comcast: Screwing You Over but with a New Logo
or
Comcast: New Logo, Same old Sh##
Why does everything have to be X this and X that. Or Extreem this and Extreem that. Hasn’t the public tired of that trick?
Uh... Xfinity? For me the name doesn’t immediately conjure up any mental imagery, like ‘Global Crossing’, or, ‘Luigi’s Pizzeria’, or “Dave’s Septic Tank Service’.
Suppose the spelling of must be seeking to imply something instead.. transversing infinity? Perhaps Beyond?? I’m not sure how Buzz Lightyear would feel about that.
Can you imagine the poor advertising sap tasked with coming up with a jingle for this? I’m not in marketing but I am a telecom guy. Here’s my shot at it: “Xfinity, Xfinity, internet for $33.33, give you up to 10mb, you get a router, but it’s not free”.
I wonder if they’ll also “rebrand” thier prices to, say 50% of what they now are...
I’ve been using Comcast for years and have never had any problems with the service or getting service.
Name change? I don’’t care.
I just like having the download speed faster than I have at work.
We have three T1 lines coming into the building and I can still beat it at home.
Fancast is a wonderful site also.
I just dumped Time Warner for ATT Uverse.
Very happy so far.
