Much as I dislike the esthetics of combat Tupperware, I cannot fault the sheer functionality of the Glock. It’s the one I would choose.

For a sub compact 9mm, G26 is an old reliable. You may also want to consider the CZ Rami which comes with either a manual safety or a decocker. Are you looking for a double action only? The CZ is a single/double.

I find that many sub-compacts are uncomfortable to shoot....maybe my hands are too large....But the CZ-75 Compact fits just right...

Here's my pocket guns. The PM9 is easiest to carry, but I prefer the G26, which is a tad bigger, but holds 10+1 rnds. When not pocket carrying, I prefer my 1911 in 45acp.

Just bought a Sig 238 to replace my Kel-Tec P3AT.

Nice little gun. ....better than using my fists, and is for fighting my way to the shotgun parked outside, 25 feet from my desk.

#1 read the manual.

whichever you choose, put 200 rounds though it before you cary it. Breakin is critical when your life depends on flawless function.

My wife has a PM9 and I have a Glock 36.

That said, if I had to do it over I would have went with the Glock 26. The 36 is supposed to be CCW friendly but is still a big piece to carry around and is not very comfortable.

I wouldn’t want to be on the business end of a .40 or .45

I’ve seen a number of comments on the Kahr related to its need for a thorough break-in; that’s something to think about in a concealed-carry piece. If the Glock 26 (which is a bit larger than the Kahr) is acceptable, I’d be looking at that first - and also the Sig P239. The latter is a single-stack, so should be a bit slimmer than the Glock. The .40 model can fire .357 Sig with a simple barrel swap. But if 9x19 is your caliber, it’s available.

As much as I dislike tupperware guns, I would say go with the Glock. I have known people who have had problems with the Kahr, though not the specific one you mention. Glocks work. They may be ugly as heck, but they work.

Forget the 9mm, go .45 ACP. Check out the Kimber Ultra or Springfield XD in 45 ACP. If it has to be a 9mm, go with + p ammo....
