At the end of that game I am quite sure, that Farve had no idea which city he currently was in.

I will never forget that interception, I made the best parlay in my life on the Vikings to win and the combined score to be over 56 points! What an idiot! That was classic boneheaded Brett Favre alright. Not only could he have toughened out a run in one of the most important plays in his career, there was a man wide open on the right side of the field!

I think there is a more provocative explanation for Favre’s mistake. It isn’t chalked up to injury or stupidity, but selfishness and always trying to be the center of attention by making the huge play. Unfortunately for Favre, that cowboy mentality has harmed his teammates as much as anyone. We have seen it for years on the field, and we have seen in the last two years when he had no regard for making organizations wait for a decision on his return while you know he savored the hype from the media.

Favre is worse than an idiot, he is a selfish idiot.

He doesn’t deserve to be put in the ranks of coolheaded QBs like Montana, Aikman, Manning and Brady.

I didn’t care who won that game, but the final minutes were horrible. Didn’t the Vikings get a five yard penalty that put them out of FG range? Then Favre makes his poor decision on third down and tosses the INT.

But the worst thing of all is the stupid NFL overtime rules. There is no way a game should end after only one team had a possession. Each team should have the same number of possessions until one team wins. Period.

But, if anyone loves those NFL rules so much, advocate it for baseball. If the visiting team scores in the top of the tenth, game over. First team to score in extra innings wins. In basketball, the first team to score in OT wins.

No, bruises are not why Favre throws interceptions. Bad judgment is why Favre throws interceptions.

Taking chances are what separates a quarterback from a great quarterback and Favre's spectacular history is based on taking chances...........That's who he is and that's why he will go into the Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately there are no stats dissecting career passes that shouldn't have been thrown but were and were completed. It's only the naysayers such as you who ignore what he has done in the face of sure defeat to turn the game into a win for whatever team he was playing for.......

How many NFL quarterbacks never made it to the semi-finals this year?

Favre carried that team despite two fumbles inside the 10 yard line and a total of 6 fumbles altogether.

Favre didn't lose the game, his defense did............over 15 knock downs by the Saints tells me that there is something darn wrong with the offensive line. And Favre got up from every one of them and returned to the huddle.

Your Saints are going to get creamed Sunday.............

I’m a Favre fan. He had a great career, I hope he decides to play again next year. After that, the Hall of Fame in nearby Canton, Ohio!

Gonna be fun watching him calling games too. Favre and Bradshaw together? That’ll be a hoot.

yeah, the '12 men in the huddle' thing. But, that penalty has to be on whoever called the play, and the player package.

About the overtime rule, they could just eliminate the option to kick field goals in OT. Make em score TD's.

There's a big difference between taking a chance and making a decision. Taking a chance means that the QB is throwing the ball up and hoping something happens: making a decision means that the QB has evaluated the field and sees an opportunity for a play, whether it's a checkdown pass or a 50 yard bomb.

Favre takes chances. He throws the ball without thinking. He forces things. That is not "great." That is stupid. And it's why Favre is sitting on a couch right now.

My Saints? Buddy, I'm a Dolphins fan.

How you beat Brett Farve is no secret. Hit him. Hit him early. Hit him often. Put him on his behind every time he drops back and passes. The man is 40. Hit him often enough and by the 4th quarter he’s rushing his throws and his timing is off as a result. Then he beats himself.

pressure up the middle, multiple hits, it’ll beat any QB. If the saints get to Manning like they did Favre and Warner, they’re gonna be partying in the Quarter (like they need a reason to party in the Quarter)

Don Meredith must be laughing somewhere out in Santa Fe; the modern qb is much too protected by the refs.

Some family and friends heading to SB.

I’ll miss, out of country. I fly into NOLA after SB to ride in parade and back out by Monday.

Grab some great food, celebrate MG with friends and hopefully a big Super Bowl win.
