My cousins invited us down to Philadelphia the day “Hands across America”. It was kinda fun but looking back kinda weird...lol. I bet most FREEPERS were part of it too but few will admit it :).

I bought the album, and like most at the time, thought it was a wonderful thing. I’ve thought about it over the years many times. This ‘we are the world’ stunt proved to be the beginning of ‘globalism’ and loss of our own national pride.
The new one is just more of the same. We are NOT the world...yet...and thank God for that.

It didn't come through my town (Houston.) So, there was a "Hands Around Houston" thingie where we formed a circle around the city.

And yeah, I was in it.
