To be frank, that’s the way it has to be done Constitutionally.
The proper question is to ask whether he thinks ‘Authorization for Military Force’ that Congress gave to Bush for Afghanistan and Iraq are equivalent to a declaration of war.
For some, there is an agenda. For others, I think they just never trusted her judgment in the first place.
I’ve noticed that most fall under a specific category of type of Conservative, mostly defined by who they support. They are the my way or the highway types.
chuckle..maybe shouldn’t post when I’m sleepy?
Actually not, there are three ways outlined in Article 1 Section 8 that can be used to authorize the use of force by the military.
1. To define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations;
2. To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;
3. To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;
you need to wake the hell up, or get off FR. Troll.
What do they mean then? If you people wish to promote Sarah Palin you might consider:
* not making blatantly inane statements (such as "donations do not equate an endorsement")
* throwing a fecking collective hissy fit any time Palin is critiqued.
If Palin has a downfall, it may very well occur not because of herself but rather on account of people becoming repulsed by a lot of those supporting her who seem to be on an emotional maturity level with the average teen.
Debbie should unwad her panties, they’re cutting off the circulation to her brain.
Exactly what it is, a transfer of funds. People are reading in an endorsement when, frankly, we don't know what it is. For all we know, it is simply a refund of donations but done this way to maximize tax benefits and ease the transaction. The fact is we don't know and so assumptions are exactly that assumptions.
I'm not happy about the McCain endorsement and am mixed on the Paul one (he isn't his father and a lot of good folks like Steve Forbes endorsed him), however, the fact is Palin is not Jesus. I am not going to agree with everything she does but right now, she represents our values more than most other potential candidates out there.
I think that everyone should be reminded that Debbie Schlussel is the queen of knee jerk reactions. She started the bogus Rachael Ray ‘scarf’ controversy, she has attacked Conservatives left and right, and if you look at the history of her articles here, she is normally just taking the opposite approach of FReepers.
It’s an honest question. But if you can’t explain it, then maybe your head is spinning.
But, wow, this article is more than a knee jerk. It’s a hit piece. What’s a skirt got to do with anything? These things ooze female jealousy and maybe a bit of anger because Sarah is also a mom and a wife. They’re elitist feminists who despise that Sarah can be folksy and down-to-earth and talk about her kids. I think that’s what steaming her drawers. Conservative or no.
Very true, can’t argue with that at all. Debbie has always seemed to have a burr in her butt about Palin.
Oh, you’re kidding! Isn’t this spamming? If it ain’t it oughta be.
It's right there in Reply 84, kindly provided by onyx.
See my Reply 215 above. I know this is what many people believe. A mask for isolationism, IMO.
So in your reality Palin has made her endorsement for the 2014 race, by returning a 1000 dollars to Graham 8 months after his 2008 election, to a six year term? You might want to look into political endorsements some, that isn't how they are done,that is why this is pure troll stuff.
Posting these inflammatory troll threads and then refusing to respond to posts, makes it impossible for us to engage you in any manner, which makes this a one sided, unanswered attack by you and an effective but dishonest trolling strategy.

Inane? What was inane about my comment?
A hissy fit? How you come to all those conclusions from my six word post is amazing!
As for emotional maturity, I would contend that those with a hatred towards Palin are the emotionally retarded among us. That goes for the hatred displayed for any other candidate for that matter. It isn't helpful. Makes it kind of tough to vote for someone in the general election you trashed during the primaries. My enemy is the Democrats not less than perfect Republicans.
I have no problem with critiquing so go for it. I do have a problem with political correctness no matter who practices it.
Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.
