Wife is looking for a job as a paralegal in the Wash. DC area. Been nearly a year now, a few nibbles but no bites. She has a MS in criminal justice, I don’t know what the issue is.

I have a decent job yet I have been relegated to the office until things pick up.

I am also attending culinary school and I am looking to pick up a second job when I am finished.

I am located in Ogden, UT

Don’t forget LinkedIn. It’s a boon for people like me who find face to face networking a bit daunting.

KENTUCKY:

Wednesday, January 27, 2010, 3:18pm EST
“Youth job fair to be held Feb. 13”
Business First of Louisville

SNIPPET: “KentuckianaWorks will host its Youth Opportunity Showcase on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

The annual event connects Louisville-area employers with job seekers ages 16 to 21. Last year, it drew about 3,000 attendees.

There is no charge to attend or to reserve a booth.

So far, about 40 businesses and public agencies have agreed to participate in the upcoming showcase, and booth space still is available.

Employers will offer a combination of summer employment and year-round, part-time employment, as well as mentoring and internship opportunities for volunteers.”

Our company is hiring sparingly but it is across the board.
It should be on anyone’s list as far as persistence goes.

I’ve been trying to get back into Funeral Service for a while, but it’s been more difficult than I anticipated. The business has changed a lot, going from mom-and-pop operations to big ol’ corporate entities.
