Thank you Suzi Q for the info and I’m glad you found a job.
I’m employed, thankfully, but looking for a change. Hard time to do it, I know...I know this isn’t a resume, but here goes:
2 yrs in retail (branch) banking, non-management, 7 yrs prior originating mortgages for 2 different mortgage brokers (yeah, I know...).
Capable of sales but would prefer administrative or analytical work as it’s always been my preferred area of focus. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from 1999. MBA August 09, finance concentration.
Biggest Challenge - fending off the 8 calls a week I get from AFLAC looking for independent agents - I don’t want to do that. After the guy last night spouted off how great the healthcare bill was for their company, I lost ALL interest. Yet all the jobs I actually apply for, I get *crickets*.
Staying off LinkedIn for a while so my current employer doesn’t realize I’m hunting. Don’t want to give them an excuse to downsize me.
Here’s a post regarding Marketing Searches.

Done a lot of that...but I’ll check it out.
Problem is, qualifications requirements these days are SO specific, the only job I’m qualified for is the one I already have...

Well, remember to think out of the box when looking for a job.
In fact, creating your own job may be the way you want to go.
I posted your link mine. Wish I knew about yours or rather remembered it. Thanks. Greg
You’re welcome Greg.
Are you referring to self-employment or the idea of just calling someone up and saying “I can do this, this, etc?” which I have actually done?
I will post this on my Quinn and Rose Weekend Thread. How did it feel to help get people work? Must of been some rush..Now lets see what we can do about a new President!!!
Smiling at you...
Thanks for your enthusiasm Greg, but really, it was each individual who got themselves back to work or changed jobs or started down a new career path.
BTTT
Thank you for the bump Sue.
