I can sum up Warner's career thus: he brought greatness to two downtrodden franchises. Good enough for me!
Jim Plunkett is the only two-time winner who is not in the Hall of Fame.
If there are still doubts about Kurt being a first ballot HOF’er, this ought to clear it up...
COMPLETION PERCENTAGE OF 65.5%!!!
And how many of those were little 5 yard dump off passes? Very few. Kurt took more chances down the field than most. Sure he had plenty of great receivers to make the athletic catch, but more often than not, those passes were accurately thrown!!
Namath doesn’t deserve the HOF. In fact his career numbers are pretty pitiful!
173 td’s
220 int’s
50.1% completions
65.5 career QB rating
He’s another overrated NY media creation. In fact he doesn’t belong in the top 100 all time QB’s.
I thought it was the “Pro Football Hall of Fame.” However, I could be mistaken. For his “rags to riches” story alone, I am all for it.
