Texas does not have a state income tax so property taxes is what is used for Schools, how would this lady pay for schools without a property tax? Send the parents the bill. Personally; I don't care to pick up the tab for the sub-standard product produced by government schools.

Property Taxes in Texas are not as high as people would think. My wife works in Louisiana and pays 3 to 4 thousand dollars in State Income Taxes as compared to the 2 thousand dollars we pay in property taxes in Texas. The schools my children attend are well run in my view and most of the teachers are churching going conservatives. The sup is a Christian and allows prayer and Christian groups to come to the school for special programs for instant we just had the Christian Power lifters and the whole High School was there to see and hear their testimony's.
