Scott Browns daughter made it to the top 16 of American Idol Season 5. She has a budding music career and has just released a new 5 song EP. The lead track on the EP is Pick it Up. The song isnt half bad. For me, its better than a lot of junk out there. However, the video isnt the best in the world. Check it out. I give the song an 8. What do you think? Below the video, youll see a few comments, the kind and the unkind.

Unless she renounces her father and Republicans,I think most music industry people will just shun her despite any talent she shows.
if she does renounce him she can follow in megan mccain’s footsteps, or perhaps levi johnston’s.......
What is an “EP”? That’s a ten-inch record that plays at 33? Or a 45 rpm with extra-fine grooves?
Her good looks don’t come across in black and white and mopey; the song is boring, melodically, harmonically and stylistically. Her voice doesn’t have a chance to shine. Sounds like a phone in.
I like her, but this doesn’t give her any reason for new fans to pick her up.
I think she should consider country crossover. Martina McBride genre. She’s a wonderful talent and a pretty girl. i can see her successful in the country-pop category.
I don’t even know what they look like? A small DVD?

Ayla Brown “Pick It Up”
They used to be 12 inch vinyl records with extended-in-time
versions of popular songs that were mostly used at dance
clubs. The radio version of a hit song could be 3-4 minutes
long. The Extended Play ‘EP’ disco-club version could be up
to 25 or more minutes long.
i.e. Soft Cell’s - Tainted Love.
A higher energy performance from summer of 2009:

“Ayla Brown “Breaking Away” Live with the James Montgomery Blues Band & The Uptown Horns”
On the one hand, her father is a Massachusetts politician. On the other hand, he’s a Republican and he drives a pick-up.
Much better, thanks. Where was that performed? It looks like it was her last performance before sneaking over the Austrian alps with her nanny and seven siblings!
