It’s finally dawning on him that we can no longer be appeased by the turning of a clever phrase. Clever? Obama has never said anything clever. The teleprompter scrolls phrases that are astonishingly vapid (MSM: "soaring"), but that has nothing to do with clever.
Any paragraph of any Mark Steyn column has more clever phrases than Obama has ever spoken.

I’ve been trying to get this administration to understand for quite a while that they should tread lightly, that the crowd cheering you on today will be the same crowd screaming for your head tomorrow...for a tiny gruop of allegedly smart people (and one terrorist) they sure seem to be stuck on stupid.
