This flies in the face of so many who say they drink for fun or habit. Really, they are inwardly quite stressed over something. It may not even be that they are trying to “forget” the issue, but just calming their nerves.
Unfortunately, alcohol never fixes a problem.

Maybe this research will help determine who is alcoholic. I've read that who takes a drink every day after work is alcoholic and that seems ridiculous to me.

What? The research focuses on people who are addicted to alcohol, which certainly does not include the vast majority of drinkers, who do, indeed, drink for fun.
