The Vikings-Saints NFC championship game that ended in a dramatic overtime Saints win powered FOX to a huge Sunday win.

FOX won the night with 52 million viewers, a 27.6 rating/41 share, which is an absolutely massive night, even for an NFL playoff game. In contrast, last Sunday's CBS Jets-Chargers playoff game only garnered 18 million, 10.5/16 share, though it was up against the Golden Globes.

It's only about half of what the Superbowl will generate, but 52 million still crushes just about anything else on TV.

I refuse to watch ANYTHING on CBS. I can’t wait for them to go bankrupt!

Hey Fox Sports!
Establish and televise a college football national championship tournament.
Show the BCS/NCAA how it’s done.
Super Ka Ching!

On all the games I watched on CBS, I noticed a very annoying noise that kept occurring. It sounded like when you try to click something on your computer that isn’t meant to be clicked. It’s a one second “Thrump” sound. Maybe no one else noticed it, but it drove me crazy. I’m from right outside of New Orleans, so I will be watching my Saints in their first Super Bowl, but I wish they would do away with that sound. It happens every time there is a network replay of a play, or when they return to the live action.
