Health Care Reform: The Dog That Was Not Allowed To Bark (Rationing and Enforcement Boards)

Last week, Congressman Thad McCotter introduced a Bill HR 4500, The Freedom From Rationed Health Care Act, that invalidates a little known, hidden part of the Stimulus Bill. That hidden part of The Stimulus Bill created the rationing and enforcement boards.

..In my discussion with Judge Napolitano on the Glenn Beck Show, I hammered on the facts that
(1) the Rationing and Enforcement Boards were already created and passed into law through the Stimulus Bill

(2) the President had already appointed the members, funding them to the tune of $20.6 BILLION. When I pointed out that these boards were charged with directing healthcare “at the time and place of care,” Judge Napolitano expressed outrage at the prospect of these government entities insinuating themselves into the previously private and confidential doctor/patient relationship. The biggest outrage is the fact that no one seems to know that THIS IS ALREADY LAW! These rationing boards threaten your privacy, your control, your health, your treatment possibilities, and your future.

..Enter Congressman Thad McCotter. He acted upon the information in my interview and added two very important Sections to The Alternative Bill :

---DIVISION D—PROTECTING THE DOCTOR-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP

SEC. 401. RULE OF CONSTRUCTION. Nothing in this Act shall be construed to interfere with the doctor-patient relationship or the practice of medicine.

SEC. 402. REPEAL OF FEDERAL COORDINATING COUNCIL FOR COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH. Effective on the date of the enactment of this Act, section 804 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 is repealed.--

..However, by Pelosi’s and Obama’s block of the alternative bill the rationing boards survived.

..Enter Congressman McCotter again. On January 22, 2010 he introduced a Bill, The Freedom From Rationed Health Care Act, that would make the health care portion of The Stimulus Bill extinct.

The stimulus bill "sold" to create jobs, contained the Rationing and Enforcement Boards for the Health care Bill. This seems to have been done to keep it under the radar. This is also the most intrusive part of the Bill giving control to the government over what care you will receive.

Many forget that the stimulus was also pushed as a “down payment on health care reform”.

Better since the MA election. It is troubling that the rationing panel is already law and largely funded, I think Rahm Emanuel's brother is the head of it. If anything it helps put a spotlight the panel.

I think their priority to pass this part of the bill first, shows it is the basic philosophy of their health care reform. ( control)_.

I never want to see another 1000+ page bill again. If you can’t read it in one hour, how can we citizens be responsible for abiding by it? Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

OBAMA'S WAR ON SENIORS which includes the retired Military 65 and over, who get double whammied with obamadeathcare.

I thought SS was the third rail of politics and the GOP was going to cut and gut it so Granny had to eat dog food...WELL it's the DEMONRATS that are doing the cut and gutting of SS and Medicare/Tricare for Life the retired Militarys secondary health ins, so I guess they want Granny to eat dog food. BTW a lot of those 10,000 laid off Sam's Club workers will be old people on SS supplementing their incomes.

I saw that earlier, my first reaction was all the stimulus money that was (wasted )sent to fake zip codes and districts, the money used to buy votes, numerous white house parties and trips, large amounts of foreign aid to Muslim countries....

The average American is his last priority, especially seniors.
