Well, six out of seven ain't bad. (Sorry, but I don't do The Great Gildersleeve post-Harold Peary. I've heard them all and Willard Waterman is Gildersleeve Lite. Kind of the way Phil Collins was Peter Gabriel lite after Gabriel left Genesis.)

Jed Marsh calls Dollar at the forest ranger patrol phone. Johnny tells him that he thinks that the Bardells are under some kind of pressure, and asks him to come up to the Tourist Camp. After he hangs up the phone the "nephew" gets the drop on him, and disarms him. Johnny correctly pegs him as Spade Keller formerly of the Carzotti mob in Chicago. Spade knocks him out. When Johnny revives he finds that Spade has his gun trained on Jed. Johnny and Jed out-smart him with fake rattle snake sounds, getting him to fall off the edge of a cliff. Lieutenant Mervyn calls Dollar at the forest ranger patrol phone. Johnny gets the Bardells to admit the truth about Jenny. They tell him that Nitzen has Jenny imprisoned in a cave. Posing as a prospector, Dollar approaches the cave. Nitzen hits Dollar over the head, but he soon revives and gets Jenny to help him overpower Nitzen. (Conclusion.)

Matt's trip back is more pleasant. It s cooler due to a breeze from the Rockies. However, he is awakened in the middle of the night by a young, hungary, runaway named Trudy Trent. Trudy wants to go to Dodge, but Matt insists on taking her back home. Once there the lawman realizes why Trudy left. He rescues her from Asa, her abusive and incestuous father, but in the struggle Matt is forced to kill him. Matt brings Trudy to Dodge, only to find that she has her mind set on marrying him. When Matt rebuffs Trudy's advances, she reacts by slandering his good name. The script was used on the Gunsmoke television series on February 4, 1961.
