A listener to Washington, DC's news talk radio station WAMU - 88.5FM (an NPR station) wrote the following today in the D.C. Radio & Television web site's Mailbag section (www.dcrtv.com)--
"Dear DCRTV: Diane Rehm on her 01/22/10 10am domestic politics show on WAMU said that "Republicans have wanted to kill Obama from the time he was elected." None of the guests said a word in response. Is Diane getting too old for the show or is she just showing her true colors? Her comment deserves some media attention. It's outrageous. Rgds. lanzil (1/22/10)"
I was appalled. I've included a link to Rehm's web page at WAMU, which has links to her podcast of today (1/22/10). Had words like these been uttered by Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Levin, etc., they'd be driven out of town and fired from their jobs.
This is unbelievable. Typical NPR station staple.
Boolshat, he would be even more dangerous as a martyr!
From Wikipedia, there's this.
In her autobiography, Rehm recounted her childhood molestation at nine years old by an unnamed politician in a Washington hotel room. She claims the man was a congressman, but has never told anyone his identity.
Probably a Democrat.
Merely condign punishment for going in that place to begin with. Mazza Gallerie is and has always been a massive white elephant, squatting on upper Wisconsin Avenue like Ahab's white whale.
I can no longer count the number of different owners who bought the place and lost their shirts or the individualstores and restaurants that went bankrupt in there.
My theory is that the portrait of old lady Mazza that hangs on the ground floor cursed the place.
You could be right. There used to be a pretty good little crepe place in the lower level. I don’t know if it’s still there, because I long ago started going to Tyson’s instead. Since moving to Virginia nine years ago, I have avoided the District at all costs and don’t go into town unless absolutely necessary. I think the diplomatic corps pretty much keeps the Neiman’s in business at Mazza.
Neiman Marcus... also known as “Needless Mark-up”.
Mazza Gallerie used to have a pretty cool movie theatre. My husband & I used to go there every weekend before we had kids and subsequently moved to Waldorf. I also like Maggiano’s and the Cheesecake Factory. Haven’t been up there since about 2004.
630 WMAL studios is one block away from there, on Jenifer Street.
Needless or not, I bought a fur-trimmed puffer coat there in 1997 at what I thought was an outrageous price and I am still wearing it! Some of their stuff is way too expensive and blingy/fashion forward to be reasonable, but some of it is very good quality and if it’s something you’re going to use every day, worth the extra money for the durability. In fact, I can’t think of anything I have gotten there, or from their catalog, that I regret. Can’t say the same about Bloomingdale’s. But usually I just go to Nordstom and get it over with.
She must have, I hadn't heard her since the 80's and around 2005 was in the DC area and tuned in. The difference was astonishing.
get lost troll
Sure they are. Why with all the unknown White House dinner guests coming in and out of there, supposedly unbeknownst to the WH Social Secretary... as well as all the nights out in DC & NY that the Obamas have enjoyed since they've been in power. You never saw the Bushes -- or even the Clitnons -- have so many "nights out".
The fact is that the Secret Service has denied the report that Obama's death threats jumped to 400%, as reported by the 'mainstream media' upon Inauguration. It's totally false. Google that and then get back to us. Welcome to Free Republic, Troll....
I don’t want to kill him, but I do want him fired!
Snort! Your screen name is fitting. This so-called "highly educated individual" is so proud of his education that he refuses to release his college records to the public.
The idiot couldn't figure out how to dump water out of a boot if it had a TelePrompter on the heel.
