Sex with Bristol is a double edged sword.

I find both of their behavior to be unsavory. While I do not blame Sarah for it, my gut tells me she should have been at home taking care of her kids instead of running the state of Alaska.

Yeah I am one of those sexist pigs who thinks that families should be cared for by their mothers, raised by their parents and supported by their fathers.

I don't really care which parent does what, but at least *one* of them needs to make sure their minor teenage daughter isn't sleeping around with the druggie, scummy teenage boys. Neither of the Palins were attending to this duty.

If you think Sarah Palin being a stay-at-home-mom would have made a difference in her daughter Bristol’s unwed pregnancy, they you are sadly mistaken.

There is NO correlation between teenage pregnancies and whether the teenagers mother worked or stayed home. Other factors are at play here, mostly peer attitudes towards sexual activity.

There are some very decent and good parents who end up with illegitimate grandkids.

Bristol is an adult, and had the ability (the choice) to say "NO", or at least use protection.

100 stay at home mothers couldn’t keep raging hormones and two hot and bothered teens apart. Sex happens, all the time.

OK - your children must be young b/c you don't seem to have a clue how even the best of families struggle to keep their sons/daughter pure in this sex filled society. I venture to say the only place they hear about chastity and the virtue of” waiting” until marriage is at home and at church. The other 99% of the time they have to live in a culture that is OBESSESSED with sex. Much harder than when we were young. Not saying don't raise the bar with kids but it is REALLY, REALLY hard for both parents and teens today.

Why put all the blame on Sarah? Why leave Mr Palin out of the equation? He wasn't running Alaska.

Why blame anyone? Blame doesn't change the circumstances. Stuff happens, it happened. Blame is hanging on to the past. It so easy to criticize someone else, point fingers... then it happens in your own family, and you will blame who? yourself? I doubt it.

Now is the time to concentrate on the baby's future.

Yeah, let’s keep women barefoot and pregnant...to heck with Thatcher, Palin, Bachman, Blackburn...we dont need them. I’d suggest less gut think and more brain.
