I want Palin to look Obama in the eye, when Obama blames something on Bush, and say:

“Man up, Mr. President, take responsibility and quit blaming Bush. I promise that I won't even bring your name up, in a negative way, when I am President”

Now, now, simmer down... let us see what plays out through 2010. Sarah is stumping for McCain, when in reality, most Conservatives wish he would exit stage left. Having her stump for him could mean keeping him around for much longer than he's worth. McCain brings nothing to the new realities we face... he is part of the machine. While I wouldn’t hold this one thing against her, it sets in motion the moderation of her core conservative values, and look where that got McCain... we'll see...

Not a good idea. Brown, while on the right of the aisle, he is not anywhere near a conservative and is as far left as Olympia Snowe.

Sounds good to me—we don’t know what effect D.C. will have on Brown yet or if he would make a good executive.

So lets go or Huckster right?

I like Thune myself.

We need an economic conservative first and foremost. By the mess hat Barry will leave by then abortion will be the least of your worries.

ditto

why in the world would people be so pumped about a Massachusetts politician most of us never heard of until 3 weeks ago? We should be wary of electing another unknown untested politician. All I know about him is a few sound bites (good, but sound bites and one line zingers) and last night’s acceptance speech, which was too long, awkward and not great

DeMint= works for me

Here’s an idea...how about letting the guy serve, oh, I don’t know...5 FREAKING MINUTES in the Senate before you make him the nominee? Geez Louise...

Your stats mean what, that Romney was too conservative for Massachusetts? The more conservative he got, the less popular he became?

I didn’t support Romney in ‘08, for that matter I didn’t particularly like anyone. I’m not saying I’d vote for Romney now, or that I wouldn’t. I’m merely saying that Romney is an unsung hero - ironically! - for saving us from nationalized healtcare. The haters should reconsider their views, Romney has earned our respect if not necessarily our support.

No those stats mean what they always mean when they are that low, he was a lousy Governor.

Romney is not conservative, he is merely disliked, that is why he could spend 150 million dollars in a weak primary field and yet do so poorly.

Throughout his life, Mitt Romney has been anti conservative, why do you think that he dropped his Republican registration when President Reagan was elected, why do you think that from 1989 until he re registered Republican in 1993, that Romney only gave money to and performed fund raisers for, liberal Democrats running against Republicans?

Mitt Romney: "I'm not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses."

I know that you just signed up, but did you happen to notice that freerepublic is a conservative site? Being a pro life site, abortion is never "the least of our concerns".

"For pete’s sake. Some people are acting like schoolgirls with crushes. Brown serves a purpose right now. Beyond that, time will tell. Calling for his presidential nomination is premature and frankly, ridiculous."

Exactly.

The truth of the matter is that abortion is dealt with in homes, the courts, church , etc.

Having a pro-life economic socialist is not conservative, its plain stupid.

Millions of poor people, no jobs, no money, no food need a growing economy, not a pastor or someone like Huckster.

As for this thread, Sarah is doing the right thing.

As human beings we all have to do things sometimes we dont like, thats life.

Amen. If he votes against DeathCare and Cap & Tax, that is good enough for me under the circumstances.

Brown and Palin have been the only two to call the libs what they are. No other Republican has the guts to get in front of the camera. The liberal Massachusetts voters will vote Brown out the first chance they get so if we want to keep his star rising for us I think we definitely have to keep his name out there. Who else is there? This whole thread almost no other conservative has been mentioned...that’s means there’s no one on the bench.

The truth is that conservatives support conservatism which means that they are anti abortion, that is why freerepublic is a pro life site.

Abortion is never the “least of our worries” here, to use your dismissive words.

The Senate is the worst possible place from which to recruit a president. Other than Jim DeMint, not a one of them really has a backbone. Their forte is collaboration, not leading.
