I have the 2 Minolta lenses on the left now, plus a Sony 75-300 and a Sony 18-70. Both Minolta lenses date from the mid 80s.
The new Sony lenses are housed in plastic, the Minoltas have cast alloy housings. The 75-300 weighs about 30 oz, they aren't lightweights.

Thanks, SS. What a noble raptor. I used to have a Minolta circa 1980’s. My ex wife traded it in for a Nikon then gave the Nikon to her parents. Go figure. I need to learn about modern digital cameras and accesories. I know nothing.

If you’ve ever had a chance to ride over the Lake Jessup bridge on the 417 you’ll see at least a dozen or so perched on the lights. Unfortunately you can’t slow down to catch a picture. Guess a boat would be better and a boat bigger than the 15,000 estimated gators in that lake.
