I have no idea who took over the Survivor ping list.
Too damn young.

Breast Cancer... RIP.
What a tragedy. RIP Jenn. May your story save another life.
Ethan Zohn is fighting for his life, too :(
She was way too young. Prayers for her family.
May she rest in peace. It is surprising that she is the first to die out of that sampling of people (Survivor contestants). They must indeed be a hearty bunch. Perhaps her family can honor her memory by exposing the proven link between oral contraception, abortion, and breast cancer. So many women are unaware of this, and so much pain could be prevented if women were better informed.

My next door neighbor, also 38, passed away this past fall from breast cancer. Last winter she had to undergo chemo and radiation because her cancer had come back for the third time. She was such a strong beautiful person that I had no doubt that she would beat it again. It was not to be. Some people on FR complain about all the pink ribbon campaigns. Thank God there are people willing to donate their money and time to fight this terrible disease.
Sad all the same.
RIP
Not to make a political point out of a tragic death, but how does this woman dying of breast cancer at 37 jibe with the US Preventive Services Task Force recommendation that mammograms should only be used for women over the age of 50?
It is a sad situation where the actions of the government force us to insert politics into personal tragedy, but the current situation forces us to do so. This case should serve as an example that top-down one-size-fits-all mandates by the federal government make no sense, and that the US Preventive Services Task Force (Which is certainly not a Death Panel. Oh no!) should not be given the power to decide these things for us all.
sad
Bump
Good grief!
...
Why are some people politicizing this thread?
Very sad.
RIP.
