I’ve visited his grave and his mother’s grave in Richmond. I think the Baltimore house is an appropriate final resting place. It’s just seedy enough.

It’s pretty well known I think that there’s reason to believe that, due to shifting earth, “restoration” of gravestones that had tipped over and whatnot, that there’s no way to positively ID Poe’s remains, even assuming any have survived in that damp soil. :’) [macabre laughter]
