Go Western Digital, Seagate sucks. As for a fire, copy the data to a DVD or other hard drive once a year and store it offsite.
I don’t like the idea of my data being stored in some cloud by someone else...

I have display galleries at Pbase, Photobucket and Flickr. Since I had to retire my life outside of Free Republic revolves around photography. Physically I can't do much more so it's pretty important to me. The 175 bucks total that I spend for remote storage is a good deal.
I can't store RAW and TIFF files in the galleries, Carbonite handles that.
Keep in mind that the files I print from are very much larger than I can share here.
