Video: Vikings throw late TD in blowout, Brooking goes after Favre

Did the Minnesota Vikings run up the score on the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's NFC divisional playoff? Keith Brooking(notes) thinks so. A late Brett Favre(notes) touchdown pass infuriated the Dallas linebacker, who charged over to the Vikings' sideline to voice his displeasure. And in his postgame press conference he didn't back down. The Vikings had held a comfortable 27-3 lead since the early part of the fourth quarter. Dallas looked completely deflated after going down 24 points and the team's subsequent play did nothing to dispel that notion. On the Cowboys' next two possessions the team went four-and-out, gaining a mere 14 yards on eight plays.

When there are less than 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter and the score is 27-3, it is pretty much over. On 4th down, a running play would not have raised anyone’s ire if the running back broke it for a touchdown. A first down means the game is over and Favre can run out the clock. Throwing a deep ball on that play was a low-class stunt worthy of Buddy Ryan.

Well, one person we know won’t be back in Big D is Roy Williams, what a waste. The Lions really fleeced the Cowboys on that one.

It's a freakin game...now what...we need sports justice incorporated into the rules...

Unfair for the Vikes to rout the Cowboys!!!

Give me a break...guess they forget how the 49er’s trounced opponents for years.

I am not a defender of Romo at all. I believe he is indeed the wrong fit for the Cowboys. Enough is enough. The guy had a great year and is worth something on the market for sure...just not for the Cowboys.

My dream set up is...Wade goes to a position in the front office, Cowher gets hired, Romo is traded to the Rams for their draft pick and then some...someone mentioned Tebow above...obviously very slim to none of happening but he would be a tremendous fit for the team. Then...get the best kicker on the market, followed up by one excellent selection for the offensive line and one for their defense and they would be super bowl bound.

I think it is time for the Cowboys to part ways with Tony and wish him well. He is a nice guy and a good QB...just on the wrong team.

I was rooting for the Boys but I don’t blame the loss on anyone but them. How many times does Romo have to try the middle before it’s 3rd and long? Why can’t his offensive line hold the rush and give hime time to throw? The Boys really stunk today! Guess it’ll be next year before we can see if they can get it all together.

The Cowboys are crybabies! Did they just expect the Viking players to down a knee?

Yes, the Cowboy players really wanted the Vikes to get down on their knees.

During the Jets/San Diego first half, the Charger players had so many little dances they performed after making routine plays I though I might have tuned into the San Diego City Ballet by accident.

LOL, after the Charger's first tackle on a play from scrimmage, the TV announcer thought the Jets had fumbled, due to the freakish celebration the Charger's defenders enegaged in after tackling the ball carrier after a 3 yard gain.

And don’t forget about all the barriers Troy Aikman broke in the NFL for his kind of people.

WTF?

Two things I noticed this season, too many players have a dance number after they make a play and they all whine about not getting calls like soccer players.

McNabb even faked a dive like he was hit in the Dallas game. Maybe he's a better actor than a ball player.

How about playing hard and lining up to do it again the next play.
