Jonathan Kroning has been stiffed by enough customers that it barely fazes him. The 20-year-old Pizza Hut driver doesn't like it, but that's part of the job.
"Customers complain all the time, and I'm used to stuff like that," said Kroning, of Oswego. "But never would I expect to get punched in the face."
According to Kroning, he delivered a Meat Lover's pizza to Shaver McNeil and his wife in Montgomery Monday night. Any tip is fine with Kroning. Three dollars is really good. Five dollars is "awesome."
But Kroning says McNeil and his wife offered nothing. So Kroning withheld the only thing he could: he didn't say "Have a good night." Instead, he took the $20.37 — exact change — and walked back to his car without a word, he says.

Just wait til the non-tippers get on here and complain and moan that they shouldn’t have to pay for service, that the pizza restuarants should pay their drivers a better wage, and then state that they only eat at pizza buffets because they don’t like to give someone a tip.
It is a felony because it was robbery with violence.
An orbital fracture can sure lead to permanant vision damage, so I say felony aggravated battery was called for.
I delivered pizzas for a while a few years back. Our store charged a “delivery fee” that basically went to the deliveryman. That way, even if you stiffed the deliverer, you were still tipping him.
I delivered pizza for roughly four years. During that time I received exactly 1 tip from a person....hmmm...how should I diplomatically phrase this....not of European, Asian, or Hispanic decent. And the only reason I received that 1 tip was because the girl recognized me from high school. And judging from the guys name “Shaver” I imagine he is also not of European, Asian, or Hispanic decent.
This is way out in the sticks. West of Aurora. Almost rural.
I used to deliver for a catering company and tips were not always given. However, I always smiled and said "have a nice day". He should have bit his lip, ignored the slight, let it go, and drove away. Getting into a shouting match with the woman was a mistake that I'm sure he won't make a second time.
That being said, I hope this bully spends some time in lock-up. Maybe that will teach him some humility.
I’ve been hoisted by my collar by an irate boyfriend who couldn’t do the math and accused me of lying when I gave them exact change. He wanted more.
I managed to get out of there, and radioed my boss and he blacklisted this house. I’ve had scummy businesses use me as a bill collector, etc. Not a fun job, but it really makes a difference having a good boss.
Speaking of Pizza Hut, I do wish they'd bring back the Priazzo.

4 years and only one tip. Hard to believe? I have always given a tip, always. I just thought that the vast majority of people would?
No, no, no. I got plenty of tips. But only one tip from a black person. And she knew who I was.
