Mostly from the Favre haters.
So I guess that makes him one of, if not THE stellar Quarterback in NFL history.
P.S. The Vikings won; “Statistics are for losers.” (Bud Grant)
Past performance is not indicative of future resultsHorse vomit. Tell that to the Cardinals, the Eagles, the Lions, the Seahawks...all who have more losing seasons than winning.
More of the calm, polite civility we have all come to expect from Cowboy fans.
Seriously, ya'll just had your a$$ handed to you by the Vikings (led by a 40+ year old QB) and you get attitude? Please. The 'boys got spanked. You can go on and on (and on and on) about the past, but today...ya'll really sucked.
Norse America's Team!
Which 1960 NFL expansion team was the first to win an NFL Championship? Need a clue? It wasn’t the losers of the Ice Bowl.
He is also a very nice man off the field.
I remember reading a first person story from an old couple whose car suffered a flat tire on a roadside near a shopping center during a rainstorm and a nice young man stopped to change the tire. When he was finished the elderly gent remarked to the young man that he looked familiar and then it dawned on him that he'd seen his face on the sport's pages, so he asked him his name, and the young man, said “Tony" and the old gent, asked, "Tony Romo?" and Romo shyly answered, "yes, sir, Tony Romo.”
Romo didn’t look inept when he picked apart the Eagles the past two weekends.
In today’s game, Romo’s teammates let him down - from the linemen to the place kicker.
Its just funny. Cowboys fans say that the Eagles didn’t play bad, but Romo played good and avoided the rush by making smart decisions and quick throws. Now when Romo chokes and faces a team that makes him pay, they are saying, “How is it his fault when he had no time to throw?” Seriously, the guy threw four balls into the chests of Philly defenders last week and they dropped the ball. Philly played horrible. Romo tried to choke last week if anyone paid attention but Philly wouldn’t let him!
Exactly. Vikings outplayed Dallas today. Romo did not choke. He had no protection. The Cowboys were greatly improved this year, and will be even better next year. The future is very bright for Dallas fans!
The Vikings have a shot this year with a forty-year-old QB who is going to be where in a couple of years? Good luck to them, but they will be a different team next week outside the friendly confines of the Metrodome.
And the Vikings don’t have to have home field to win?
Real classy coach you got there running up the score.
Interesting that you all are blaming Romo instead of pointing out that the Vikings may have a very good D.
So did I.
Interesting. CTV from canada is broadcasting it...
I'd take Lady GaGa over William Clay Ford
Um, let’s see - Romo picked apart a pathetic team two weeks in a row, and then hit a brick wall against a much better team. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Amen.
No one has mentioned it but the Cowboys were clearly out coached.
Being a life-long fan of the Boys it’s difficult to celebrate their victories knowing that when a challenging opponent finally arrives that “What’s-that-smell” (Indian name for Wade) and “Abandons-the-run” (Garrett) are forced to make half-time adjustments which insures the game in question will be lost.
Beating the Cowboys is not difficult: Get to Romo. But that’s how you win most games in the NFL. Did Romo choke? No. The coaches sent a very ill prepared team out on the field and made a talented team look like all of their plays were drawn in the dirt with a stick pulled out of their arses. So who’s to blame?
It all starts with the owner.
As an owner Jerry gets an A. As a GM he gets an F. With him in charge of player personnel, and the coaching, the Cowboys will never win another SB (see Mark Cuban as another A-Hole owner who thinks they know everything about the sport they were fortunate to own).
Congrats to the Vikes and long live Farve. Though it is ironic to see Viking fans praising a QB that has beat their team down for so many years. ;)
It's pretty much a given that Wade Phillips will be outcoached.
The only good news for the Mavs was that nobody in the Metroplex watched them getting blown out in Toronto today.
