Sure it is. Because first they start with ‘small’ things, then when you’ve gotten used to being told what to wear and how long your hair can be, you’re groomed to accept other limitations.

Please. It's a dress code. I take you are against dress codes, and most "rules". If the kid ever gets a job, which is iffy at best, he will have to learn about more rules, some of which may include a dress code. He may eventually be sent home for not showering either, considering the way the dad looks.

Well, then your ‘take’ would be wrong. The judgement here seems to be on the parents and a whole lot of assumptions about what this kid will grow up to be if his hair touches his shoulders. For pete’s sakes it is NOT that long.

I remember that in primary school we girls were not allowed to wear slacks. My mom bought me a pair and my second grade teacher admonished me for wearing them. I cried and she caved. Now jeans are everywhere. And I didn’t grow up to be a hippie, feminista. They were just pants. And my mom was far from a radical.

Oh, and chew on the fact that they’re making this boy tie his hair up. My, my that could cause homosexual or cross-dressing tendencies later in life. And it would be the school’s fault.
