Not to worry. With all the “Global Warming” that's been going on of late there won't be much more of this evil behavior. How dare they have fun. Shame on them. Don't they know those sle.... er... Shields were made to protect them while they whacked people over the head? Besides, smiling and laughing is now illegal. It causes the offender to emit unacceptable amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. These guys should be tared and feathered for their insolence.

I take Superintendent Murray’s point. That said, as far as misbehavior on duty goes, it strikes me there are far worse things a university town’s boys and girls in blue could get up to than riding riot shields down the hill. If you know what I mean and I think you do.
