Joe Kennedy this evening posted a very cryptic message on his Facebook page indicating that he can't officially take his name off the ballot but it seems he is at least actively or mentally dropping out of the race.
Joe Kennedy For Senate Simply Put: 1. My name can not be removed from the ballot - 12/11/09 was the deadline. 2. I only have one vote to give and that is my own. 3. I have not and will not ask anyone to do anything but vote who they want to vote for. If you people to vote for your candidate you have 2 choices. Make your candidate someone who... they would want to vote for or find another candidate.
Wonder if Obama called him and told him to drop out. Seems like his voters are likely to go to Coakley.
The leftist will likely endorse Matha Croakley on Thursday or Friday. Leftists love doing this kind of stuff.
Must be almost as fun as “discovering” a thousand ballots in your trunk during a recount.
Sounds like he was posting while drunk.
What towel? He’s the waterboy in this race.
Who gets hurt if he withdraws? I suspect Brown - since the Kennedy name might have attracted 3% of the DEMs who didn’t realize that he is not one of THE Kennedy’s. I wonder what he received.
No during the debate he made the emphasis on spending to much.
...and I worked calling for four days and had a few people tell me they liked what Kennedy had to say but knew he couldn’t win and were therefor voting for Brown.
Even I agreed with him on a few issues. I think it will help Scott more.
At least his legendary name will still be on the ballots.
A little visit from Coakley thug Michael Meehan?
Except he was playing to the tea party crowd claiming to be the tea party candidate and claiming to be a libertarian. (fyi, the Tea Party Express endorsed Scott Brown).
Did you read some of the posts on his wall?
some people need to up their meds....
I saw one where they were cheering his promoting a two state solution for Israel/Palestine. That told me I had seen enough.
He was trying to steal GOP votes by sounding conservative, which he is not. He is not going to endorse Brown, that much is pretty clear.
The ballots have been printed, his name remains on it. On Tuesday some of the Moonbats and welfare layabouts will see his name and vote for him. Not as many, but they still throw their vote away, which is good for Scott.
You must be in the state and working the issues. DO you get a good sense about the Tues. Brown turnout?
The thing is, his name is still on the ballot, so pulling out at this point won’t have the entire intended effect... So, if anyone is still confused at this point, they will have the opportunity to still vote for a Kennedy and if they ARE confused they will also most likely not have a CLUE that their vote will be wasted on someone no longer running...
JMHO — I have no real experience in MA elections. I’m just praying for Brown from afar!
Geesh, I only heard the one (now-infamous) exchange between Brown and Kennedy at the most recent debate via YouTube and even from THAT exchange ALONE it’s clear the guy is definitely NOT a libertarian! No libertarian would EVER support Socialized Medicine! And if anyone tells you different they haven’t a CLUE what libertarianism means.
“Sounds like he was posting while drunk.”
It is very loopy and incoherent.
Yes I am in state, and made calls out of the most western campign headqarters in Holyoke,Ma.
And I can say with the most confidence that positve responses regarding Brown were at least 5-1 in favor over Marxist coakley. (and I’m being conservative and I actually kept score and have made over 400 calls)
Heres a story.Wensday we were calling to the Pittsfield area (where Butch coakley comes from). And a woman screamed “WoW” and we said whats that all about. And she said she just got off the phone with a couple that knew Coakley personally and were voting for Brown.
He is a libertarian. His votes won’t go to Coakley. Kennedy is sucking votes away from Brown. Coakley expressly asked that Kennedy be invited to the debate.
