I really like Thune a lot. He's a strong conservative and Christian (don't tell the leftist). His brother was a pastor at one of the largest churches here in Omaha. They moved a few years ago. The Thunes are a great family, open, no surprises, not ashamed of what he believes.

I hope Tom Coburn decides to give it a go.

I notice the author studiously avoided mention Sarah Palin's name.

Kind of tarnishes his credibility a tad.

Especially since she WILL BE the next President.

He’s an unknown with low name recognition. Strike 1.
He’s a Senator; he tawks, he doesn’t execute. Strike 2.
He’s from N. Dakota. Strike 3.

Hey ... it could happen.

Obama was a relatively unknown with low name recognition. Strike 1.
Obama was a freshman Senator; he voted “present.” Strike 2.
Obama is from God-knows-where. Strike 3.

Heh... I can’t really mount much of a counter-argument. Touche.

I agree. Thune is the REAL deal. He is one of the few truly honorable lawmakers.
