An excerpt from the script from the movie coming August 6, 2010:
-------
Derek hands them a folder.
DEREK JETER A guy by the name of Carl Bastion, CEO of MacroBank. He took three billion in TARP funds, but refuses to give documentation on how he spent it. Take him down. But be careful, this guys got Blackwater mercenaries on the clock 24/7.
ALLEN (Will Ferrell) This guy Bastion is nasty. He summers with Dick Cheney.

balls to both jeiter and ferrel.
You don’t have to download the PDF, it’s just there for verification. I’d love to link to it anywhere else but it didn’t show in searches. I read these slurs in movie scripts as often as you see them on the screen, just many months earlier.
If Free Republic is not the best venue for conservatives to try to break stories, I would love to hear alternatives.
Summers in Jacksonhole, WY?
Jeter, ehh.
Ferrell, no way.
My money will stay safely in my wallet if Will Feret is envolved.
Where have you been since May 2006?
Weird....
Ferrell may be the unfunniest man on the planet. Therefore, the clueless idiots who suck up our useless pop culture like a Hoover on steroids have decided that he is a scream and we should all go see his crude and vapid movies in which he trashes yet another American institution.
Derek Jeter should be ashamed. Joe DiMaggio might have sold coffee-makers, but he never sold his dignity to the likes of Ferrell.
Total leftist BS. But typical Hollywood fare. My advice to Farrell - Get a job, if you can find one in this socialist economy.
I have to admit I liked Will Ferrell in Night at the Roxbury.
Other than that, no thanks.
I share your disgust with the constant sniping that's inserted in movies. Frankly, I'm looking forward to India's takeover of that industry.
I haven’t seen an SNL skit in the last 30 years, and I’ve never seen one of Ferrell’s movies, so I’m in no position to judge his skills as a comedian. I did see him do an interview with Charlie Rose. Ferrell told how his dumb frat-boy impersonation of GWB had apparently helped Bush in 2000 by “humanizing him” — I think that was Ferrell’s term. He had been invited by Bush to do the comedy for the Correspondents’ Dinner or some such. Ferrell refused to do it because he couldn’t stand Bush.
I had news for Ferrell — Bush probably didn’t care all that much for Ferrell personally, either, but he was willing to be a good sport and exhibit a sense of humor. Seems Ferrell has no sense of humor, decency, or honor.
Derek Jeter is one of many cameos and deserves no blame. The script is funny and the movie will probably do well. The jab comes in the final minute amidst clever dialogue, as it often does.
Campaign 2010 will be in full swing by August, and this movie casts TARP graft as a Republican problem. The line could still be cut, changed or dubbed before release but it’s there now. One of the writers, by the way, wrote the “Paris Hilton Responds to McCain Ad” bit on Ferrell’s video site.
Hopefully, it will do as well as "Land of the Lost".
