Prena Thomas has the usual things in the freezer of her home in Lakeland, Fla. Vegetables, pancakes and fish, she told a Tampa television station.
But she also has a snowball that she made in 1977.
Thomas said that over the decades, she has never had a power outage that would destroy the cold hunk she says is precious to her.
"It's just like a little pet," she said.
However, she does sometimes take it out of the freezer, unwrap the bread bag that contains it and shows it to friends.

I've got a dozen of these guys in the freezer...'future collector's item' maybe.......been there from whenever Reggie Jackson was a bigshot.

roflol I have one in my freezer from 2 years ago. We made it to show to our granddaughter, who was living in TX at the time we had the snowfall. We forgot all about it until last week when my husband found it while digging around in the freezer to find something for supper.

Perhaps the snowball just wanted to complete your task and escaped the only way it could; just imagine how happy your dad must be now, holding it carefully in his hands.

Dear Lord,
In my next life (if there is such a thing) please let me come back to a life so void of duty, work or responsibilities that I can focus on keeping a snowball for 33 years.
Amen
LOL

True ... but I love the FL Wright architecture at FSU, and the funny hub cab salesman outside of town.

So do I. We usually pull them out at the July 4th picnic and have a snowball fight. Good times.
