Your image has to be hosted on the web at some location. You can’t post an image from your computer hard drive....

You can't post an image from your own hard drive. You have to upload it to an image server on the web. There are good, free image servers out there, like Photobucket, and then link from their site. <img src="imageuralhere.jpg"&62; no spaces except the one between "img" and src".

You can copy and paste my entire text in yellow above to post a link. Then simply do the following:
Replace the red 'URL' with the URL for the page you wish to link to.
Replace the green text with the text you want to show in the tooltip.
Include the target="_blank" tag if you want the link to open in a new window/tab.

The above link will look like this:

Killer Smiley

href="http://www.site.com" ← This is the actual hyperlink and the minimum you need in order to post a link.
target="_blank" ←This makes the link open in a new window.
title="Whatever" ← This is the tooltip you see when you hover the mouse over the link (hover over this sentence to see).

You can’t post a pic from your C:\ drive. It has to be on a web server. Photobucket is one such. Youtube hosts videos and the signup is free.

I keep a Word document with html codes handy for cutting and pasting into posts. Some of the basic stuff is easy to memorize.

Another trick is to create a new message in Outlook express with html and source edit enabled. Then copy the source between the < body > tags and paste into the comment box. This method won’t post pictures in my ezperience.
