Interesting article. I’ve often wondered about the possibility of malicious code inserted in open source software such as linux or open office, etc.
And what about uploading important data to some free online sight as a safeguard against hard drive crashes and data loss? I’ve wondered who might actually be the ultimate owner of some of those sites.

As a former customer I can safely say Symantec SHOULD NEVER BE CONSIDERED RELIABLE. Out and out thieves might be a better description.

What about computers made in China? Would it be possible for them to make a computer with something like this built into the motherboard, that they could hack into whenever they might choose to do so?
