Prior to marrying Benning Beatty was a pretty famous rake. It was pretty much a given that he and the leading lady of his movie would be an item through most of filming, and that he and the leading lady would not be anything resembling exclusive. Now things might have changed since he got married, but that would only be the last 17 of his 72 years, back in the day when he was knocking out multiple movies a year there was lots of lipstick on his collar.
