She looks hammered! Still sings better than me, though!

that must be after Big Brother -- when they tried to remake her into a woman with a crack band. Big Brother was better, imho.
Anyway, did you "chick" on the ad before you left the site?

Phew! No matter what, she could make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. A sad, short life, but really, you can’t imagine somebody like that getting old.

My 21 yr old son is a music fan will call me over to hear the latest female singing sensation.
I say “That’s nice” and then I say, “Check this out” and play a clip of Janis.
He gets quiet real fast. No one alive comes close to Janis.
No one.

What a train wreck, a shrieking train wreck.Sometimes life does that to a soul. She put something into music that a lot of people can relate to.

Ugly broad screams her guts out is more like it. I don’t consider that singing. Even I could do that.

Bill Bennett went on a date with her once (twice?).
He won’t discuss it though - but he has confirmed it.
I believe the first one was a blind date.

I liked a few of her songs, that was not one of them. I have read about her life, her family. They did not seem very different from my own. Wonder what sent her on that path?
