That was a major ass kicking by the Cowboys. Romo was cool under fire. The play by play guys did manage to spend some time bitching about ex-Lion Roy Williams, who is now in the Dallas lineup in exchange for draft picks.

Those were the days before I had DirecTV NFL Ticket and being stuck watching the Ravens I can honestly say I never nodded off more during an NFL season than that one watching the Ravens squeek out 9-3 and 9-6 wins.

Heck if Cincy lies down against the Jets tonight then we’ll have three of the four wild cards games next weekend as rematches of this week.

I hope so. I’d really love to see the Texans get in there. If they do, I actually think they can beat the Bengals and make it to the second round. Can’t see them beating the Chargers there, though.

Also, it’s always fun to see the New York fans with no team in the playoffs.

What irks me, is that if Cin. lays down the NYJ’s got in with two late season tainted wins. Basically a 7-9 team got into the playoffs.

I agree, but I have trouble imagining the Bengals putting out much effort tonight. The biggest thing that bugs me is the Jets getting two byes in a row to get into the playoffs.

However, that's the way it played out. The Broncos had a final game against a team that was 3-12 and couldn't close the deal.

Oh yeah. That wouldn’t be a first, of course. This is also why I don’t think the NFL season needs to be any longer than 16 games - there would be a lot more of these meaningless wins by bubble teams, since top teams will probably have clinched their divisions and playoff spots with a lot more games left on the schedule.

The lights went out during the Dallas/Eagles game briefly when the score was 24-0 Cowboys. Originally I thought it was Dandy Don Meredith making a statement but now, with Bender AWOL, I'm wondering.....
