Our kitty was an indoor/outdoor cat. It quickly became obvious we would not be able to keep her indoors, so she now knows she must wear a harness and a leash to go outdoors. Not sure if a 3 YO kitty will allow itself to be trained in that way.
Well, rank does have its privileges....
CeilingSniper may forgive you for delaying proper preparation of her basecamp...if you are lucky....
Get him fixed. Not to be inelegant, but it sounds like he wants to chase pussy.
Hmm...that last pic...is she perhaps a Priestess of Ceiling Cat?
that’s what is going to happen shortly but he doesn’t seem to realize there’s 10+inches of snow outside on the ground and the wind is howling
i’ve been playing a YTube video of another cat meowing hello. He gets distracted and then goes to look for the “other cat”.
He’s going nuts ‘cause he wants to go outside and won’t stop pawing the window

Your drapes will smell better, too...
Fuzzball ...
One of mine a russian blue did the same thing once, we had moved and she didn’t notice the new house didn’t have a space above the refrigerator. She knocked out one of her front teeth. A few months later she came romping through the house and jumped on the back of a heavy chair - it flipped and landed on top of her. She knocked out another tooth. Both of her upper “fangs” gone. I said at the time we needed to buy her a helmet for high speed crashes.
Cats like to look down on their prey.
You know what’s best. Don’t give in.
Apparently she will not relinquish the high ground.
Bring the stray female inside to get cozy with him.
(Ok, joke's over....Bring back Bush !)
LOL!
Sort of like my cat that liked to check out the bathtub for any water near the drain- of course he had food and clean water in his own spot. Worked great until the day he hopped into a tub half full of water.
His exit was memorable.
What a beautiful cat.
Great kitty and pix. I’m embarking on a remodeling project, including my living room, which has been ruled by cats exclusively for about 4 years (our plans got interrupted and put on hold after we had cleared out the room).
I’m contemplating the “new” room, new furniture, etc., and the cats will be pleased with their new acquisitions. Your idea is a good one, put their pads on a high place and just figure they’ll climb up there anyway. They will of course assume that the new room was designed for their exclusive use and pleasure.
Next item on agenda: Figure out how to ban them from upcoming new kitchen as their favorite places to walk are the counters and I spend all my time now chasing them off of same. No doors, just open doorways, so can’t close the room to keep them out.
Dogs have owners.
Cats have staff.
Sucks to be you!
Oh Hell! What do I know? My cat beats on me all day, to things for it.
