Barack Obama once again proved he has a tin ear for politics when he did NOT visit Rush Limbaugh in the hospital. With his low approval ratings, Obama could have done himself a lot of good by visiting Rush who was nearby in the Hawaiian hospital. Too late now. Obama missed a great opportunity to help himself. This just demonstrates his poor ability at politics at even a personal level.
I was over at my parents yesterday for our traditional New Year’s meal of black-eyed peas, ribs and sauerkraut when a friend said “You know, if zero had any sense, he’d have visited Rush in the hospital”.....my dad replied that he wasn’t that smart and I said “he didn’t have Axlerod there to tell him to do it....besides, he couldn’t take a teleprompter into the hospital room”....later, went to some friends for a few drinks, and several folks there also brought up the point about zero not being smart enough to score some political pr points and visit Rush. I think it’s been noticed by a lot of folks...maybe only us VRW crazies but stilll.....just saying!

Ronald Reagan used to meet with Tip O’Neil all the time and had only good things to say publicly about him. Meanwhile O’Neil rarely missed an opportunity to blast Reagan. Guess who came out looking good as a result and who ended up giving an impression of pettiness?
A bit off topic...I don’t recall, but did obama visit a still breathing ted kennedy at MV? I know he said he wouldn’t, but did he?

Yeah, if I was in the hospital I’d want that buck toothed flip-flop wearing Kenyan bastard showing up in his Hawaiian shirt and slurping shaved ice while he sticks his nose in the air and gives that feces eating grin to a bunch of snotty left wing crotch sniffing pool reporters who worship his fungus infested toenails.
I am not a fan of President Obama, however that being said I also do not think it would have been appropriate for a President of the USA, any President, to have scheduled a hospital visit to a radio personality. This would have left a door wide open for the President to have to make scheduled stops every time some celebrity ,who either is vehemently opposed to him or supports him whole heartedly, has a hospital stay.
LOL, I was also thinking along those lines (of course, it might have been a glimpse of Michelle that put RHL into the hospital in the first place ;)
Actually, Obama should have set up a golf match with Rush while they were both there — a Battle of the Titans, at least on Limbaugh’s part. That may even have made Pay-per-View...
maybe he sent flowers and chocolates and asked Rush to keep it secret
