I’m hoping that it is between storms. At least her appt is not in Fresno. I hope we don’t get the high winds. There are so many crazy drivers on the roads.

I took her in last week because one tonsil is really swollen ... about twice the size of the other. They put her on antibiotics but said they didn’t think it would do any good since her temp was normal. They took a culture and wanted to see her again today. She does not feel bad; she was complaining about her throat hurting when she swallowed.

If another flock of storms arrive by next week, our valley will be a lake!! When we went to Fresno yesterday, there were many flooded areas.

Sure hope Prissy gets a clean bill of health from the doctor. Stay safe up there. The rain is just starting down here. So far, just sprinkles. I expect we will probably lose power at some point. We usually do.

Woo Hoo ... great party last night!
Happy Wednesday, Polly.

How are you doing? Are the storms still pounding you?
How far are you from La Canada?
Saw where they are evacuationing there due to possibility of mudslides.

Wishing you a Dry Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.

Good Morning Amy!! WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!! we won!! LOL
I am about 8 minutes away from La Canada. Our daughter goes to school right close to the mudslides but so far all is okay there. No mud here because the fire didn’t make it to our hills.
Our big concern is our old river rock walls. Our entire back yard is terraced with vintage river rock that needs re-inforced. The cost is almost prohibitive on our retirement salary and pension!!! What to do... what to do.....

You all be careful, Polly! I just got in from the grocery store in the pouring rain. The news on t.v. just now was about all the dangers in California and I don’t know where all our Amy’s Place FRiends live, like Amy and Lori, etc. and others.

I heard Arizona is going to get a big snow and yorkie was talking about that the other day.

Gotta get the groceries put away and fix me some lunch.

Lori and I are both in the central valley ..... we are in no danger of mudslides. I am about 20 miles south of Fresno and Lori is about 50 or 60 miles south of me. Our worry is the wind and of course the roads get flooded when we get lots of rain.

Yesterday the FResno air terminal lost power. One flight cancelled and others delayed. Like Jim said .... you would think they would have backup generator power.

Sorry that I have been away.

I couldn’t get any FR pages to reload. I finally called Jim and he said the problem must be here because FR was running okay. I powered down and everything seems to be loading okay.

Maybe my computer celebrated too much last night. :)

Good! RE: that you are not in the mudslide area.

Hoping with you that your old river rock walls hold during these downpours.

Clydesdales....

Hi, cutiebear. : )

These are gorgeous horses and enormous in size.
I stood next to one out at Grant's farm ( where the Clydesdales are stabled)..
and I felt like a little kid looking up at him. : )
