I'm watching Navy's bowl game against Mizzou, drinking Guinness and later I'll watch some movies. I made some quesadillas and guacamole earlier. I'll just have a quiet evening at home and probably fall asleep around 10.

Since it will be our first New Year without the daughter, we will be sitting at home with the dog and two cats, trying to keep the cats from attacking the dog.

Have a beer or three and the wife will have her Crown Royal. I may even make a scotch and water for myself later.

I have a nasty respiratory infection, so I’ll be alcohol-free this evening. Just listening to Big Ben chime midnight in London over the BBC on the internet in about half an hour, then a Fred and Ginger marathon on the DVD player and lots of cough syrup. Bed at 10:30 as usual, so I’ll be conscious for the hockey game at Fenway Park tomorrow.

I've got a date! My wife and I are staying right here at home - steak dinner - wine - maybe a movie. We were invited to a big shindig over in Hunt but neither of us want to be on the road tonight after midnight. Our 34th Anniversary coming up in two weeks. Bigger plans for that ;o)
