What is strange is that there IS no default WAP/WEP password.
Out of the box, wireless routers don’t have any security. You establish the password yourself when you turn on WEP/WAP.
Either she is trying to connect to a neighbor’s wifi or someone put a WEP/WAP password on the household router.

get a network cable and connect from your laptop to the router. Use port 1, not the WLAN port.
