My hubby and son will be glued to the TV on New Year's Day watching the traditional football marathon. Here are recipes for two of their favorite foods that are quick and fairly easy to prepare:
Chili-cheese hashbrowns
Prepare frozen hashbrowns according to package instructions (I like to use a big wok). While the hashbrowns are cooking, pour canned chili into a large enough sauce pan along with the chopped green peppers, cover and simmer gently.
When the hashbrowns are done, place them on a large platter. Pour chili over the hashbrowns, top with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips if desired.
Special Baked Hot Wings
Brush wings with vegetable oil and bake at 425-degrees for 1 hour or until done to your taste. Mix hot pepper sauce, melted butter, and green Tabasco sauce in a small bowl. Dip baked chicken wings in the hot sauce mixture and arrange on a platter. Serve with blue cheese salad dressing and lots of napkins.
Call me brain-dead, but no I haven’t.
Eat that salsa, and you’lll find out in 2 days why I call it the “Charlie Crist”.
Ah ha! Thank you no. :)
