Baby Update!

Adriana ate from a bottle today, and the dye made it all the way through her system. They’re removing the tubes and wires and assorted gizmos, and hopefully tomorrow she’ll leave NICU and stay with her mommy in a normal room.

2-5 days she should be home.

Thanks, everybody, for all the prayers. I know it made a difference in this little one’s outcome, and in Whit’s ability to handle the whole thing.

Woke up early enough to get to work on time. Not that I really wanted to be, since we're now holding meetings that run until 5 (I usually leave at 4). At least I'm through the e-mail and ready to proceed with other things now.

We’ve been working on and off on making supper: Emeril Lasagne. The meat sauce had to start early, and now I’ve got Elen grating four kinds of cheese. And the vegetables for tomorrow’s beef stew are already cut up.

I don’t have these extremely proactive days very often, but when I do, bazillions of onions gets chopped!

It's only 9 AM here, haven't even thought about lunch and you're on towards dinner...!

Started researching my transportation options for Orlando next week. Didn't rent a car, but am wondering if maybe I should. There's a bus that comes to the hotel but they note it's a pilot program that could go away at any time. There is nothing within a mile of the hotel.

Emeril recipes often take a lot of advance prep-work, and if I get it done before lunch, there’s a chance we may get to take a nap!

I gave Frank a dish of oatmeal with prunes. He’s been acting hungry, figured it was time for a second daily food meal. I hope the prunes will help his digestion!
