Florida coach Urban Meyer, who announced Saturday night that he would step down after coaching the Gators in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day, is having second thoughts about retirement and will instead take an indefinite leave of absence following the bowl game, a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN on Sunday.

How arrogant. A week before a huge game for Florida, the coach grabs all the attention for himself. Now he makes the situation even worse by prolonging the story and putting the spotlight on himself again. What are the recruits to think? He’s in, he’s out, he’s in.
His “bad heart” will be good enough to coach in 2010? Right.
If he drops over dead, no honey-do list will matter. If I had his diagnosis, I would seriously rethink things. Sometimes situations bring a whole new perspective.
