Just an observation. Watching it just now the "blind Ralphie" scene was cut. The movie (at least the 2 AM showing) is missing the scene after Melinda Dillon tastes the soap when it should have cut to Ralphie. Offensive to the sight-impaired I guess, not that they'd have seen it.
I told you not to use "Lifebuoy."
Major Award destruction. Household accident or domestic violence by proxy?
It’s on the third playing at our house and the blind scene has been in all 3.
We love Jean Shepard and even have some CDs of his radio show.
Wow, we LOVE this movie. I mean love it!
It came out in the 80’s, when I was a teen and I think it gave all of us a warm fuzzy feeling of the ‘pure’ 40’s and it reminded the older folks of their own childhood.
The blind scene appeared to be in the 8am run.
censored.... or cut for time to add more commercials.
Really? Notafinga!
I think people love this movie because it's a throwback to what America used to be. It's just pure Americana.
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies.
While the props and theme was a throw back, our family and many we know identify with the movie because it represents real life in so many cases.
I mean, it would take months to compile the number of the C+ themes I got in school.
To get the full effect, you need to watch it here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5684529284016066345#docid=-8394482045230280195
It’s the Mystery Science 3000 version, complete! It includes the first movie appearance by Pia Zadora.
I watched that movie all day long. The blind scene was in there every time.
“He looks like a pink nightmare.”
LOL ... cracks me up every time I see it.
