Actress Brittany Murphy will be laid to rest at a small, private funeral on Christmas Eve, while a larger memorial service may be held early next year.

A small funeral for the family is probably the best anyone could do for them in their time of grief. I just hope the news people stay away.
May God rest Ms. Murphy’s soul and give comfort and support to her family and friends.

So sad. While I don’t wish ill on anyone, I don’t get too emotional about most celebrity deaths (i.e. Michael Jackson). But I always liked Brittany. She wasn’t another vapid pretty-girl actress - she seemed to have a kind of sweetness about her, and a certain spark. I’m sad that we’ve lost her and will pray for her family.
