You don’t know much about the health care bill and yet you ask a question like this:
“How drastically did Joe Lieberman’s provisions alter the bill? What is the difference between a public option and healthcare “exchanges?””
#
I have two questions for you:
1. Are you a high school student looking for help with your homework?
2. Why are you so concerned now — where have you been?
I know enough to understand the prospect of a “public option” of course.
I realize what’s wrong with other countries’ universal healthcare systems. I understand what Sarah Palin means by “death panels” and the potential for rationing. I understand the high taxes part.
What I don’t understand is the practical, day-to-day basic things this *SPECIFIC* Senate bill (being voted on tomorrow) is seeking to accomplish. The bill changes everyday, it’s different from the “House” bill, all these amendments get added or taken out or altered, etc...and I cannot keep track. I just want a clear-cut understanding of the basic essentials of what the Senate bill proposes and how it affects us as patients. I wanted people’s opinions on the other points I touch on. Like if someone sees any ounce of positivity in it at all? Whether the damage is reversible, etc...
